What people are saying

What an inspiring, well structured and comprehensive course.

Emma Capron, Interior Design Student

What an inspiring, well structured and comprehensive course. I now feel much better equipped for starting out in the field of interior design. The course is incredibly detailed and covers all the key areas of setting up a new business. Lisa's 10 years' experience in the industry ensures that all content and learnings are totally relevant. The course challenged me to think strategically about my goals and aspirations as well as providing invaluable guidance and tools for pricing and business processes. I know I shall be constantly referring to the course materials as I continue my journey into the interior design industry.

If you want to know what being an interior designer is really all about, and how to start your own business, there is no better person to learn from.

Marianne Shillingford, Creative Director Dulux

For as long as I have known her, Lisa has been the most creative, organised and ‘real’ designer I have ever known. Interior design is a career that requires many skills from artistry to project management, and accountancy, good time keeping and an unusual amount of relationship counselling. Lisa is exceptional not just because she possesses all of these attributes in spades - but that she can communicate and share them effectively with anyone who wishes to start their own creative business. If you want to know what being an interior designer is really all about, and how to start your own business, there is no better person to learn from.

Easy to follow. First class course.

Alison Lewis

I'm getting on really well with the course and enjoying it enormously. The modules are easy to follow with some really good points to consider and challenging questions to work through. The flow of the course is spot on too. I'm a college tutor by day and so I know when I see a good and a bad course, and yours is first class. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise.

Helen Bulmer, Interior stylist & designer, Lived and Loved Interiors

I am finding everything within these modules and topics extremely useful. I found the service flow and pricing really informative and helped me focus on how to set out the basic price packages and what I feel is the right price to charge for the work and a plan to set out payments. I am finding it all very clear, concise and easy to follow, and giving me the guidance I need to set up.

I have lots of clients now!

  • How long will the course take me & when can I start?

The course comprises four modules with videos and written text. Each module has tasks for you to complete – so you’ll be setting up your business as you go. You can start whenever you want, and it can take you as little or as long as you like.

  • What does self-paced mean?

The course allows you to stop, start and pause whenever and wherever you like. Your progress is shown on your dashboard. You can repeat modules or continue where you left off. You'll have access for as long as I'm running the course, to dip in and out as you need, and I'll always give you notice if I'm taking it down.

  • What will I need to complete the course?

Access to your computer, pen and paper.

  • Do I get feedback?

There’s no 1:1 interaction on the course, but I've worked hard to make sure the course is as comprehensive as possible so you can complete this on your own. Enrolment does include membership to my private FaceBook group where I do regular live Q&A sessions, and I'm on hand to answer any questions you might post.

  • Will I learn design skills?

No. This course won't teach you about any of the elements of designing a space. The focus is on the practicalities of setting-up your business, not your design skills.

  • How much does the course cost?

The course is a one-off payment of £325.

  • If I buy the course and then decide it's not for me, can I get my money back?

No. There is a No Refund Policy on this course once you've accessed the content.

  • Can I share the course with a friend?

No. When you enrol, you get access for one user. It is an infringement of copyright to publicly share or publish any of the course content.

  • I'm already an Interior Designer - has this course got anything for me?

The course covers the basics of setting up your business - defining your target client, service offerings and branding; how to price and market your services, as well as run an efficient business. If you struggle in these areas, or you are not getting the business you want, there might be something in here for you.
